Established by John Beno in 1926 as an industrial, commercial, institutional and residential plumbing and heating contractor, Beno Plumbing and Heating has been getting jobs done for thousands of residential and commercial customers in northeastern Wisconsin for more than 85 years. A union contractor affiliated with Plumbers & Steamfitters U.A. Local 400 and employers of 15 staff members, Beno Plumbing and Heating is fully insured and state licensed. Its principal plumbers are Jim Beno, who possesses 36 years of experience; Daniel Beno, who has 37 years of experience and serves as the company's secretary and treasurer; and Gregory Beno, with 30 years of experience, who is the company's vice president. Dan and Greg, along with Jim, are grandsons of the company's founder, John Beno. Jim's son Matthew is a fourth generation plumber in the Beno organization.
"Since 1970, our firm has concentrated primarily on the plumbing portion of the construction industry," states Jim. "We have extensive backgrounds in all phases of plumbing installations, including storm and sanitary, water lateral construction, yard drainage, and interior roof drainage. Additionally, we are engaged in interior sanitary waste and vent systems, acid waste systems, domestic hot and cold water systems, general and specialized piping systems, furnishing and installation of water treatment equipment, water heaters, and ranks for all types of plumbing fixtures and appliances.
"Our experience has taught us to not exceed original time and material bid / straight agreements in our plumbing design and construction work, and we have never defaulted on a contract."
Beno Plumbing and Heating currently operates a fleet of twelve plumbing-equipped trucks with all hand, portable gas, electric tools, and any other equipment needed to complete installations.
''Over the past 20 years, we have installed plumbing in offices, medical / dental clinics, restaurants / supper clubs, manufacturing buildings, schools and colleges, as well as low-income and elderly apartment buildings," Jim adds. "Some of our major contracts in progress in the area are for the St. Mary's Hospital Emergency Room expansion, construction of the State of Wisconsin's DNR regional offices, and we've recently completed projects at St. Vincent Hospital, the new Wal-Mart in De Pere, as well as the expansion of the west-side Wal-Mart in Green Bay."
